Energy and Commerce Committee, issued an outrageous personal apology to BP and slammed the President for his efforts to hold
them accountable.
Worse, if the GOP wins back the House, Barton is the guy who could be in charge of regulating
the oil industry.
Think about it: In the Gulf right now, jobs are being lost, ecosystems are being destroyed,
an entire way of life is being upended. And Joe Barton is apologizing to the oil company that caused the disaster.

CAL PERS, CAL STARS and UC Retirement System are unfunded by $500 BILLION DOLLARS. The state can never meet its liabilities.
Retirement benefits will drop and worker contributions will increase. In addition, California owes around $3 BILLION
in overtime costs. State legislature fails: should have caught the outrageous
pay of Bell, CA elected officials at the start. Now we taxpayers must pay $600,000 per year to retired Bell city manager for
life. The state is bankrupt. The fraud, excess, abuse and greed must stop. I want
government credit cards of all elected officials publicized and evaluated. CSBA
head admits he uses business credit card for casino gambling and other illegal uses - and we all pay. Aseguraré dinero

a physician, arbitrator, mediator, peacemaker and a mom - so I will not vote for financial wars and our soldiers will always
be protected, not abandoned. Our sons and daughters will be more likely to die at home, with family, of old age if I

PRIVATE AGRI-BUSINESSMEN SELL WATER
A big Kings County landowner sold $73 million in water rights to the Mojave Water Agency
in Southern California as local agriculture struggled against drought. "As the water allocations in Kings County diminish,
a major economic base is depleted," the report stated. However, the grand jury concluded that "no actual breaking
of California law was found." The report also criticized Dudley Ridge Water District, the Westside irrigation area
where agribusinessman John Vidovich owned the water rights that his partnership sold to the Mojave Water Agency. County officials
say Vidovich had the right to sell the water, which didn't belong to Kings County anyway, since it was imported from the Sacramento-San
Joaquin River Delta under the auspices of the Department of Water Resources. "The water does not originate in Kings
County. We were just fortunate enough to use it for the last 30-plus years," he said. Dudley Ridge
had no water prior to 1969, when it began taking deliveries from the California Aqueduct, Neves said. The report raised
concerns that other landowners could also sell their water, turning Dudley Ridge back to empty land. Neves
shot that down, saying that water use has gotten so efficient that farming in Dudley Ridge - despite the
high cost of Aqueduct water - will likely continue. Posted Thursday,

California Senate tries to Sell Our Water Rights Forever to Private Businessmen
Why vote for Goodwin? She will NEVER allow private business to take control of our water "liquid gold" and make
us slaves to their profits schemes - for LIFE. The California Senate is trying to sneak an $11 billion dollar water bond
past us which does just that. Goodwin will protect the RIGHTS of Free Speech, Due Process, and ALL Constitutional Rights.

Denham sued for Campaign self-promotion in guise of helping vets. Vets were pawns. Unable to sell the concert tickets, Chukchansi
Indians give away the charity concert tickets to make event appear to be sell-out. Clear FEC violation. Denham also
violated other FEC campaign laws per media and congressional reports.

DR GOODWIN STARTED MADERA FARM
TO SCHOOL... Shortly after joining the Madera Unified School Board, Dr. Loraine Goodwin began promoting
the Farm-to-School Program. The former superintendent was adamant that the program was not safe - so undoable. Undaunted,
Dr. Goodwin persisted and was able to get a federal grant to start the Farm- to- School Program which is run under the District
Nurse.
Also, as part of Dr. Goodwin's efforts to start the Madera Unified Wellness Program, the position of Wellness
Coordinator was created and filled by Rosa Garcia. A wellness policy for the district was developed and is now present in
the cafeteria of each school.
Madera children now enjoy fresh local fruits and vegetables at no cost everyday as part
of the school program. Dr. Goodwin feels "the Central Valley grows great food and we have beautiful farms. Our children
must be able to enjoy our produce in our schools. We need to get rid of the junk food and let our kids enjoy healthy local
produce. It helps the kids and the farmers."

Senator Edward Kennedy
was a true statesman who championed women and all minorities. He cared for those who were left out of the process. In the 1960's, the Kennedy brothers, John, Robert and Edward, supported civil
rights and eventually brought us to this new day, where our youth do not experience the pervasive racism of the past. Senator Kennedy was a major supporter of the Equal Rights Amendment for constitutional
equality for women; a strong advocate for Title IX that increased participation for women in college sports and female sports
scholarships; and more recently a leader in passing the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act that ensures equal pay for equal work. Ted Kennedy, the "Lion of the Senate," and pillar of the Kennedy
"royal" family, after the assassinations of brothers John and Robert, will be greatly missed. We pray at his passing and celebrate his life.
