GOODWIN WILL KEEP YOU SAFE GOODWIN
A PEACEMAKER ====================================================================================================== GOODWIN LIVES in CD 19 and has her business in CD 19. Denham's
businesses are in Salinas, so his allegiance is divided. He will be inclined to protect himself, his businesses, his Atwater
life/property and Atwater schools over CD 19. People who are fully invested in the
CD 19 congressional district will protect the district better. If Denham is elected, he may be in for forty (40) years. No chance for any CD 19 residents to get a
seat in Congress. Our water sold. Since Chukchansi is heavily backing Denham, along
with other tribes, our local economy will be secondary to tribal business expansion and needs - local power and
individual power will become nil. =================================================================
CA SENATE FAILS WORKERS
Stanford declares CAL PERS, CAL STARS and UC Retirement System are unfunded by $500 BILLION DOLLARS. The state can never meet
its liabilities. Retirement benefits will drop and worker contributions will increase. In addition, California owes
around $3 BILLION in overtime costs. State legislature fails: should have caught
the outrageous pay of Bell, CA elected officials at the start. Now we taxpayers must pay $600,000 per year to retired Bell
city manager for life. The state is bankrupt. The fraud, excess, abuse and greed must stop. I want government CREDIT CARDS of all elected officials publicized and evaluated. CSBA head admits he uses business credit card for casino gambling and other illegal uses - and
we all pay.
junio. Yo no puedo ganar sin sus votos. Vote - ya no invisible. Dona.
I always honor our soldiers and veterans.
I am a physician, arbitrator, mediator, peacemaker and a mom - so I will not vote for financial wars and our soldiers will
always be protected, not abandoned. Our sons and daughters will be more likely to die at home, with family, of old age if
I am elected to Congress. - -
INDIAN TRIBES plan unlimited donations to Denham in exchange for Senate Bill 1485 and retail store rights.
So, if you attend their events, remember to VOTE for GOODWIN on November 2nd. She will protect YOU.
GOODWIN WAS FIRST TO SUGGEST "MEDICAL PAROLE"
TO SAVE STATE MONEY - in an article published in the Madera Tribune September 2009 Loraine Goodwin advocated for medical parole.
The issue was then taken up by the state legislature and is slowly progressing through the system. GOODWIN has the IDEAS
to help the state and the Central Valley.

WHITEHOUSE BIPARTISAN MEETING
Democrats and Republicans met to identify issues that divide regarding health care reform. Both sides agreed Medicare is running
out. Republicans said: my constituents don't want anything done-keep medical care as it is-no changes. Democrats said if we
do nothing, in ten years the need for change will be imposed on us and the cost of delay will make the changes more expensive.
The Republican healthcare proposal covers only 3 million people and the Democratic proposal covers 30 million people-we must
decide how to pay for the coverage. The CBO says in 20 years there will be a trillion dollar savings, the interpretation of
the numbers varied between the two parties. I believe healthcare is a right and we all pay for it in taxes every year, in
addition to any other health costs.

PRIVATE HEALTHCARE SCREW
Health insurance premiums continue to
rise annually, and now the insurance companies say the increases may occur more frequently with higher deductibles and fewer
covered services. Many people have deductibles of $500 to $5,000, which must be paid annually before insurance pays anything.
Anthem Blue Cross announced, starting March 1st, they will increase monthly premiums by 39 percent. This increase is thought
to affect approximately 800,000 customers – although the company refuses to state the number of customers to be affected.
President Obama has asked the company to justify this increase in this time of great economic hardship. Is the increase just
to maintain the huge bonuses for executives? Asking a family of four to increase the monthly insurance bill from $900 to $1,200
is a deal breaker for some families. Many healthy families will risk going without health insurance and avoid preventive
medical care and procrastinate on medical visits when a family member is ill. Children will be sicker longer. The risk of
disease spread will increase throughout the community and emergency room use will increase. Businesses, already struggling
financially, will have a harder time providing health benefits for employees. Businesses will seek to hire younger healthy
single people in an effort to keep health care costs down. Naturally, when the insurance rates increase, pharmaceutical costs
will soon rise also. What is the up side? Many valley residents use Anthem Blue Cross. But, at least, the company
is based in the United States. So, if the money is going abroad, some of it will stay in the U.S. to help American workers
and the economy.

Today in Congress-Cybersecuity Bill and 25 Amend.
The Cybersecurity Bill will cost about $1 trillion dollars through 2014. Quite a sum and, of course, pork added. With all
of our networking and cell phones, cyber security is extremely important - but who is ripping us off?

Lilly Ledbetter First Anniversary Today
Lilly Ledbetter 1st Anniversary - Equal Pay For Equal Work. Lilly sued because she was being paid less for the same work her
male counterparts performed. We must be aware that the practice of paying women less continues, and the story is worse for
minorities. Women in the Central Valley often head a household of children - with no male contribution. Paying equal pay for
women ensures our children have more resources to live a quality lifestyle with better education and nutrition.

DR GOODWIN STARTED MADERA FARM
TO SCHOOL... Shortly after joining the Madera Unified School Board, Dr. Loraine Goodwin began promoting
the Farm-to-School Program. The former superintendent was adamant that the program was not safe - so undoable. Undaunted,
Dr. Goodwin persisted and was able to get a federal grant to start the Farm- to- School Program which is run under the District
Nurse. Also, as part of Dr. Goodwin's efforts to start the Madera Unified Wellness Program, the position of Wellness
Coordinator was created and filled by Rosa Garcia. A wellness policy for the district was developed and is now present in
the cafeteria of each school. Madera children now enjoy fresh local fruits and vegetables at no cost everyday as part
of the school program. Dr. Goodwin feels "the Central Valley grows great food and we have beautiful farms. Our children
must be able to enjoy our produce in our schools. We need to get rid of the junk food and let our kids enjoy healthy local
produce. It helps the kids and the farmers."

Minorities get great educations, but ignored by whites.
Students graduate with degrees and can't find job. Minority with MA/MS degree often works at minimum wage or dead-end
job. INVISIBLE NO MORE! Character assassination will not succeed this time - UNITED we will win and find the real promise
of education. You invested in education, now invest your vote in me, and we will create a BETTER CENTRAL VALLEY.
| Senator Edward Kennedy - A Tribute |
|
|
Senator Edward Kennedy
was a true statesman who championed women and all minorities. He cared for those who were left out of the process. In the 1960's, the Kennedy brothers, John, Robert and Edward, supported civil
rights and eventually brought us to this new day, where our youth do not experience the pervasive racism of the past. Senator Kennedy was a major supporter of the Equal Rights Amendment for constitutional
equality for women; a strong advocate for Title IX that increased participation for women in college sports and female sports
scholarships; and more recently a leader in passing the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act that ensures equal pay for equal work. Ted Kennedy, the "Lion of the Senate," and pillar of the Kennedy
"royal" family, after the assassinations of brothers John and Robert, will be greatly missed. We pray at his passing and celebrate his life.
